The Stock Market

The Stock Market is probably the most guaranteed way to eventually become rich, I say this as someone who always struggled to have even 200,000np and now have over 3,000,000np, but I’m not saying this is quick. But here I will explain how I used it without the over-complications of it all. It’s not as scary as it originally looks.
And there’s is nothing complicated once you understand it all, so no skill involved like the flash games.
First of all, the stock market involves buying shares, in the companies around Neopia, the price of each share will vary dramatically from, but you can only buy shares whilst they are at least 15np, so we shall ignore the ones lower than that.
The basic idea is to buy as many shares as you can (1000 shares a day is the limit, but you can buy more of that same company the next day) at the lowest price possible (15np each preferably) and sell them for as much as you can, but this WILL require patience.

From the main page you have 8 options; you will only need 2 which are:
Find Stocks (where you will be going to find the stocks you want to buy)
My Portfolio (where the stocks you already own are displayed)

From the find stocks link, you’ll be taken to a page with a small amount of writing and a link saying click "here" for a full list. It’s that link you need, which will bring you to a page full of names and numbers Basically on this page you will just look at the current value, the rest is over complication

Simply put the 7 columns are:
  • Logo - easy, the logo of the companies... it’s irrelevant
  • Ticker - this is the abbreviation for the company’s names, this is also how they are known across the stock market, and this is again pretty irrelevant
  • Company - the full name of the companies ... need I say it again... irrelevant
  • Volume - this will show how popular the particular company currently is, could be useful if you wanted to go into it majorly so you can watch the trend, but for now following this guide... its irrelevant
  • Open - the numbers here indicate what the price of the particular stock was at the start of the day. Again irrelevant
  • Curr - (current) this is what we are interested in on this page and it’s the current value of each share
  • Change - irrelevant, it’s the percentage of difference in that particular stock from the open to the current

My Portfolio
This will display your shares you currently own and is the important page... though it’s again full of information you don’t specifically need. The columns on the left reflect their counterparts from the list page, apart from the icon columns which now sports a little grey arrow, this is used to sell the stocks

And the right hand columns are the information we want
Holdings Qty - (quantity) this is how many of that share you own
Holdings Paid - how much you paid in total for all the shares you own of that company
Overall mkt value - (market value) this is the total all your shares in that row are currently worth on the market
Overall %change - the percentage of change from their total value of you buying them to their current value

Phew...now that’s out the way I’ll explain how I use it, which obviously works and will point out how simple to use the stock market really is, and how easy it is to take profit from it
Basically you want to go into the list page ('find stocks - click here for list') then focus on the current value column find one that says 15... Click the ticker of that row so you’ll be taken to a buying page.
here, you want to have 15'000np on you to buy shares, though if that’s allot of money to you still, buy less and work your way up to the bigger amounts. Assuming you have the 15'000np to spend (you never essentially lose it, unless something goes wrong) type in 1000 into the box and buy, that’s your limit for the day done.
Go to my portfolio, and check your stocks... now it’s down to preference, for quick but small profit, aim for something like 20 and when the current price of a company on that page reaches 20... Sell all of them; I generally aim for 60 now, though started at 50.
Every day you want to go back and repeat this, but if your share you already own is at 15 again... buy them again.
It’s better to have 7x1000 shares selling for 40 than 2x1000 in 4 companies, the more you have the more you sell
But also the more you risk losing... this is bankruptcy, though I’ve not known a company to go bankrupt in the time I’ve been using it, and it’s not common.

This is a list of the companies gone bankrupt so far:
  • BBBB - Bob’s Big Bonus Bingo -- Bob is a Blumaroo Bingo Owner. Jealous of the popularity of Dice-A-Roo on Roo Island, Bob migrated to the mainland and set up a range of bingo parlors across Neopia, and he isn’t doing too badly as a result!
  • BODA - Böda Furnishings Inc -- Specializing in economical self assembly furnishings. Böda was formed in early in the month of running, year 3 by an Eyrie called Sven. It is still very early stages for Böda but their future looks bright.
  • FUZZ - Fuzz-I-Ow! Plasters and Bandages -- After winning an exclusive contract with the Neopian Hospital Fuzz-I-Ow stocks have begun to pick up. Building on this extra stability, Fuzz-I-Ow plan to launch a range of fun plasters designed especially for children. Slogan - We cannot kiss it to make it better, but we can do the next best thing.
  • HAKA - Hakaheke Island Flights -- Hakaheke has had some serious competition from Peophin Cruises. Neopians have been opting for the cheaper, more traditional method of transport. If Hakaheke can continue to prove their impeccable safety record and lower their prices they should be able to get their customers back, especially for longer journeys. Slogan - We will take you wherever you want to go.
  • KATE - Kacheek Telecommunications -- Kacheek telecommunications are at present unrivalled in their field. Despite claims of poor customer service and technical support KATE looks set to dominate the market for a good few years to come. Slogan - We keep you in touch.
  • NEGG - Neggwork Commerce -- You name it Neggwork Commerce has sold it at one time or another. Now aimed at top quality e-business solutions they intend to build up a strong presence on the internet community. Slogan - We are the Profit Producers.
  • NTV - Neopian TV Channel One -- Channel One boast of being the largest TV station in Neopia. In truth they are the only channel but they may face some competition from telecommunications companies such as Kacheek Telecommunications. Slogan - We are #1 on Channel One for all forms of TV entertainment.
  • SILL - Silly Squirrel Incorporated -- Silly Squirrel manufacture toys for baby pets, and generally anything that makes a rude noise. They also have a wide range of jokes and those small toys that you find within crackers!
  • SSGS - Meri Acre Sausages -- The finest tasting sausages you’ll find ANYWHERE in Neopia.
  • TEFV - Techrobatics Fitness Videos -- Year 2 has got off to a tremendous start following the release of their PetBo videos. Three times World Champion and president, Jayne Simmons claims to have a lot more revolutionary fitness routines in the pipelines so Techrobatics looks set to continue its current trend. Slogan - Eat, exercise and stay in shape with techrobatics.

After a little research, it appears your stock can also be stolen, though this is obviously VERY rare, and I’m not even 100% sure if it’s still a active feature, but basically, you can have a different chia at the top of the page... instead of Nigel your guide, you can have Snigel, who likes to embezzle your stocks! If this has happened to me, I’ve never noticed it, nor had I even heard of it, so assume this to be immensely rare

The stock market is simple, easy, and should be part of your dallies... find a 15np stock, buy 1000 shares... if a stock has gone above your target (never below - and NEVER less then what you paid for them)... sell them all, this will take about 2 minutes of your time a day and eventually you will see the benefits and be rich! Bet if you ask the people with millions... most of them will point you to the stock market... I am
